    AIP Tacos surrounded by toppings

This AIP Taco recipe is so easy that you can make it any night of the week. It includes delicious AIP Taco Meat with all the fixin's.

    AIP Tacos surrounded by toppings

What are the fixings for tacos?

My favorite toppings are lettuce, radishes, avocado, cilantro, red onions and a dollop of coconut yogurt.

    Are avocados allowed on AIP?

Yes! They are a heart healthy source of fat and a great addition to the AIP diet.

Can you eat tomatoes on AIP?

You may have noticed there were no tomatoes on the list of toppings. That’s no accident. Tomatoes are a nightshade and inflammatory. During the elimination phase of the AIP diet, tomatoes will need to be removed but you can always reintroduce them later. However, if you’ve already reintroduced them, feel free to add them to your AIP Tacos.

    How to make AIP Tacos

    1. Layer the AIP Taco Meat then lettuce, radishes, avocado and cilantro in the tortillas. Sprinkle with red onions and add a dollop of coconut yogurt.

Tips for making the BEST AIP Tacos

    • I used Siete Foods Almond Flour tortillas which include AIP reintroductions. However, you can also use my Gluten Free Flatbread recipe.
    • I used the AIP Taco Meat recipe here using the AIP Taco Seasonings recipe here.
    • The toppings are all optional so feel free to pick and choose which ones fit your tastes or sensitivities.

What is a good side dish for AIP Tacos?

    • AIP Nacho Cheese
    • AIP Guacamole
    • AIP Shrimp Ceviche
    • Strawberry Salsa
    • Apple Salsa

    • I always use extra virgin olive oil in all of my recipes unless stated otherwise.
    • I always use Himalayan sea salt or Celtic sea salt, unless otherwise noted.
    • The majority of my recipes are strict AIP or include notations for reintroductions. However, while I make every effort to label non-AIP ingredients and recipes sometimes, they slip past me. If you have questions, please ask in advance.
