What is a good non-alcoholic drink to bring to a party?
This easy Christmas punch is a festive mocktail for a holiday party. It can easily be made in much larger batches (double or triple the recipe). It’s bright red which is the perfect holiday color. And it’s got a subtle fizz from the sparkling water which is perfect for a celebration or party. Here’s another great recipe for parties.
How do you calculate drinks per person for a party?
Generally, you’ll need one drink per person, per hour of the event, plus one more each. Some people will drink more, some less but it gives you a good estimate. This recipe makes 6 drinks which probably isn’t enough for a crowd. However, it can be doubled or tripled for a large party. Keep in mind, if you double the recipe, you’ll also need to use a very large punch bowl.
Can punch be made ahead of time?
You can easily combine the juices and spiced simple syrup in advance. I would wait until you are ready to serve before adding the sparkling water. If you let sparkling water sit, the carbonation will go away, and the punch won’t be fizzy anymore.
How long is punch good for?
This non alcoholic holiday punch recipe lasts about as long as the juices in the punch. I would give it about 5 days in a resealable container in the fridge.
What can replace alcohol in a mocktail?
There’s no need to ‘replace’ the alcohol because there is no alcohol. However, you could have spiced rum on hand for those that would prefer it. Or use prosecco or champagne as substitute for sparkling water. Either would be a delicious addition but it’s not necessary.
This holiday punch was made specifically to be non alcoholic. Alcohol isn’t allowed during the core elimination stage of the autoimmune protocol and some people prefer to abstain from alcohol. Plus, most festive drinks generally contain alcohol. People that can’t have alcohol should also have fun drinks!
