Sugar and Spice Rub
Chili powder and brown sugar spice rub that tastes good on just about anything. It’s great for summer grilling.

Servings: 3 /4 cup (enough for 2 pounds of chicken, pork or beef or 4 pounds of shrimp)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Chili Powder
- 3 tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Salt
- 1 tablespoons Ground Black Pepper
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Instant Coffee
- 1 tablespoon Ground Cumin
- 1/2 tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tablespoon Onion Powder
- 1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Add everything but the oil into a small bowl.
Stir to combine then set aside until ready to cook.
When you are ready to cook, add the rub mixture to the oil.
Massage the rub into the meat and then grill.
