  • 5 Pre-Cooked Chicken Sausage Links about 12 oz combined

Instructions

  • If your air fryer basket is made with non-stick coating, line the basket with parchment paper. Then place chicken sausages in the air fryer.
  • In a cold air fryer, bake the links for 15 mins at 370 degrees, flipping halfway through. If the air fryer is already hot, then you’ll need to reduce the cooking time a few minutes 3-5 minutes. Keep an eye on them as cooking times may vary depending upon the air fryer model.

Notes

  • Bilinski’s Organic Wild Mushrooms with Italian Herbs Chicken Sausage were used for this recipe. However, any precooked chicken sausage will work. Please keep in mind that if an alternative brand is used then the time may be increased/decreased.
  • Air fryer models can vary, and some units cook hotter than others. Keep a close eye on the sausage cooking time the first time you make the recipe by chance your model cooks fast. Adjust the time as needed to heat them through and brown them to your liking.
  • If you are cooking for a crowd, I was able to fit in 10 sausages into the air fryer I was using. Just make sure they are in a single layer in the fryer basket.
  • I’m currently using an older air fryer model from Costco. It’s like this model. However, the capacity is small, and the machine take up a lot of space. I’d prefer to have a toaster oven/air fryer. It can be used for multiple purposes and has a larger capacity for cooking or baking. I’ve seen really good reviews on this model. 
  • This cooking method also works great for hotdogs!
  • To cook frozen chicken sausages, set the air fryer to 400 degrees and cook for 15 minutes, flipping once.
  • To cook raw sausage, set the air fryer to 370 degrees and cook for 20 minutes in a cold air fryer, flipping about halfway through.
